What does the hydrostatic filter do and why is it important?

The hydrostatic filter protects the hydraulic system by capturing metal particles, dirt, and wear debris from the hydraulic fluid before they can damage the hydraulic pump, control valves, and cylinders. In a telehandler, the hydraulic system controls boom lift, extension, attachment tilt, and the drive circuit — it is the heart of the machine. A failed or severely clogged hydrostatic filter leads to pump wear, sluggish controls, or catastrophic hydraulic failure that is far more costly to repair than routine filter replacement.
