FAQ 3

What specification of axle oil does my MVP telehandler require?

MVP telehandlers use 85W/90 gear oil for the axles. This is a standard GL-4 or GL-5 mineral gear oil widely used in heavy agricultural and construction machinery axle drives and differentials. Always use the correct specification — incorrect viscosity or API classification can reduce gear film protection and cause accelerated wear on the axle internals.

How often should the axle oil be changed?

The recommended axle oil change interval for telehandlers in this class is typically every 1,000–2,000 operating hours, or at least once per year in high-use conditions. For machines working in wet, muddy, or high-temperature environments, more frequent inspection of oil condition is advisable. Axle oil changes should be included in your scheduled major service.

How much axle oil does the machine take per change?

Each axle unit typically holds approximately 3–5 litres depending on the axle model and final drive configuration. The front and rear axles are drained and refilled separately. For the exact fill capacities, refer to the operator's maintenance manual or ask your MVP service technician.
