FAQ 2
What is a floating fork and when is it most useful?
A floating fork features tines that pivot freely up and down within the frame rather than being rigidly fixed. This allows the tines to self-level when entering a pallet on uneven or sloped ground — they conform naturally to the surface angle without requiring precise repositioning of the machine. This is especially useful on farm yards, construction sites, and anywhere the ground is not perfectly flat. The open carriage design also provides excellent forward visibility for the operator.
Is the floating fork suitable for bale handling?
Floating forks are not specifically designed for bale handling — for that purpose the dedicated Bale Fork is the recommended attachment. However, the floating fork's self-aligning feature makes it very effective for picking up palletised goods and wrapped materials on the uneven ground typical of agricultural and construction environments.
